Italian Soft Biscotti Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Icing:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Non-perils (optional)

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheets with silicone mats and set aside.

Cream together the butter and sugar in an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, and mix until well combined.

Incorporate the baking powder, baking soda, and flour gradually into the wet ingredients, blending until a soft dough forms.
