Kirby Air Riders is your classic racing game with just a few small twists thrown in. The game consists of four core game modes:

• Air Ride: standard racing mode 
• Top ride: a top down race mode where the player controls their character from an aerial point of view
• City Trial: A free roam mode in which the player drives around collecting items  and power ups for the multitude of mini games that occur when playing.
• Road Trip: The single player story mode with a large amount of challenges that blend different aspects of the other game modes.

And of course now with the new online functionality players can enjoy playing these different modes with friends and other players. After playing the game for a while I can see why Nintendo finally decided to remake this classic.

The Air Riders feels as though they tried combining a classic racing game with a popular fighting game which creates a great combat focused racing experience rivaling that of Mario Kart. Kirby Air Riders is jam packed with so much content and fun that it will take a while for you to even get halfway through.
